T&T presence at Law Conference

Trinidad and Tobago was well represented at the Commonwealth Lawyers Conference in Namibia, Kenya, 9th –13th September, 2007.

Madame Justice Permanand, former Court of Appeal Judge in Trinidad and Tobago and now chair of the Law Reform Commission, delivered a well received paper on HIV/AIDS and the Law.

Vasheish Kokaram made a presentation on the Caribbean Single Market Economy (CSME) - A New Kind of Regionalism.
And Her Excellency Glenda Morean Phillip S.C. chaired a session titled Gender and the Law. Former Chief Justice Michael de La Bastide was also in attendance.
